
Is this the right temperature to slowly cook my chicken?
I heard of a recipe for chicken drumsticks cooked slowly. I am pretty sure it said 350 for 2 hours. I mean really. Is that correct sound? I'll put a little water in the bottom of the pan and coat bbq sauce for the last half hour.
I tried several ways … and the best I've found is about 300 for about 2 hours …. It works well and the meat does not dry as much ….. I do the same thing on the grill … only that which 'seem to take much time …. just use a meat thermometer to make sure the temp gets at least 170-180 degrees.
